Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have been dealing with this pain in my wrist on the side opposing my thumb (extending about halfway through my forearm). The pain is mainly in the inside of my wrist/arm. I do train regularly, and I am also a waitress, often carrying plates and doing repetitive movement with this hand. Should I get a xray or just go see my family doctor?
Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the wrist. I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen three tablets a day. I also recommend maintaining the area immobilised.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
