Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Under The Right Shoulder Blade
I get a pain under my right shoulder blade when I get it I have to sit down I can t keep standing as it gets worse it eases when I sit down I find it hard to stand at the sink or do the simple house work jobs I sometimes get very short of breath I have an on going cough which could last up to six or eight weeks it clears with antibiotics and steroids but after a week or two it comes back in short spouts
From your description, I am of the opinion that all your symptoms are typical of pleural effusion.
You should have an x-ray done ( CT scan will be better to measure the amount of fluid). pleurocenetesis may be required. You should consult a local respiratory medicine specialist for the above procedure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
