Hello. I am Susanna. I have shingles but the painkiller my Doc. gave me dosenot work! I have terible pain and Lyrica does NOT help, I can not sleep! Does not let me sit,relax...whole day my pain was 5-8 and now its worse... I took 100 mg Lyrica( my 3 time of the day)but doe not help! I am on eliquis and can not take ibuprofen... but it inpossible to bear any more! What can I take? I have meloxicam 15 mg...should I take it?
Shingles resolves within 3–5 weeks, but secondary bacterial infection and chronic pain due to post – herpetic neuralgia may occur. High potency live attenuated VZV vaccine (Zostavax) is available and it reduce the risk of getting shingles in individuals 50 years of age and older. Advice 1. If your age is more than 50 years she can take Zostavax vaccine under medical supervision 2. Amitryptyline 25 mg per oral at bed time for one month 3. Tramadol 50 mg every 12 hours per oral for 10 days 4. Methylcobalamin 500 mcg once daily per oral for 3 months 5. Continue Eliquis as suggested 6. Do not take ibuprofen or meloxicam 7. Take rest for few days 8. Do not take mental stress as it aggravates shingles I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question Thanks
