Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain While Suffering From Gallbladder Issues
Hi. My boyfriend Nick has gallbladder issues and has been having flare ups. His doctor is aware and has been prolonging the surgery. He was in a lot of pain yesterday and took some aspirin which was directed by hid doctor. He woke up this morning with yellow eyes and skin. He called his dr. and cant be seen until NEXT Wednesday. We are concerned because of the yellowing. His pain is gone but is a little tender on his right side. Is there anything he can do until next Wed to get rid of the yellowing or should we go to an urgent care?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Yellow eyes and skin while having issues with gall bladder accompanied by pain could be due to 'obstructive jaundice', caused due to blockage to outflow of bile via bile duct due to inflammation and impaction of gall stones. Kindly consult Surgeon promptly in this regard for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
