Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter had severe peritonitis. She has had two operations in one week Nov. 5 and Nov. 11th. The first time they removed 4 litres of liquid from her insides. The skin they placed over the stomach ulcer didn t take. The second operation was more intrusive. They cut her open and cleaned the area multiple times. The scan shows that the second patch of the stomach ulcer held but there is still bile draining from her insides. She also suffers from rhumatoid arthritis. The doctors don t seem to know what to do!!! More tests?? Any info. would be enlightening. Thank you :)
Hi I.understand your concern Peritonitis is serious bacterial infection , and should be treated with higher antibiotics with high dose. Usually antibiotics like piperacillin and tazobactam are given intravenously for treating the same. Hope this information helps. Thank.you
