Suggest Treatment For Severe Pollen Allergies

Hi,
I live in a region where Pollen allergies are prevalent at this time of the year. This year, my allergies have affected me a lot. It has been ongoing for the past 2 months. It gives me sinus pressure , sneezing, watery eyes and nose. I have tried taking Allergy medication for one week - but with no help. I also do nasal rinse. What else can I do as remedial measures ? Thanks.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query .There can be many type of pollens. I would suggest you to wear a mask ,try to stay inside home, take shower when coming from outside ,use air conditioner in car and home, take antihistamine drug like benadryl or claritine-d (combination of antihistamine and decongestant).

Citrus fruits and onion water will be very helpful.Continue nasal rinses. If allergy still persist or get worse consult doctor for proper treatment.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
