I did something stupid, I thought I d never do. 3 weeks ago I snorted some adderall, and I ve had a high pitched frequency in my ears/head ever since...I didn t tell my family physician what I did...he treated me w steroids and amoxicillin. It s still there. I have an appointment w an ent this week and am afraid/ashamed to tell him the truth...is this permanent? I still have pressure in my ears also. Thank you.

Hi,

Snorting Adderall in over dose can cause risky brain complications. It can cause maxillary sinus problems leading to inflammation, infection &even abscess. Blockage of eustachian tube following maxillary sinus infection, can cause your symptoms. It's good you are going to consult ENT doctor. He is proper person to solve your problem. You can try inhaling vapor, it may give you some relief till then.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
