Suggest Treatment For Severe Rotating Joint Pain And Hives

I was on amoxicillin over 1 month ago and developed hives from it. Was put on prednisone and half way through that I started having severe rotating joint pain. Started in L wrist, then R shoulder, L shoulder, R. Wrist then left fingers. Pain is intense and goes up or down arm , last several hours. Next day it is somewhat better and by third day everything is okay until next episode starts usually a little over a week later. Blood tests were performed for Lymes, lupus, liver profile. Everything negative. Any idea what might be going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

The reason for taking amoxicillin has not been mentioned.Since Lymes, lupus, liver dysfunction has been ruled out,the following disorders can be the cause.

Rheumatoid arthritis,Psoriatic arthritis and viral infections presenting with rash should be ruled out.Viral infections like Chikungunya ,dengue can present with rashes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
