Suggest Treatment For Severe Sharp Leg Pain

I have a sharp pain in my leg that started just below my knee on the back of my left leg. Now there is still pain there but it also shoots down To the bottom of my foot. This all started about 3:00pm yesterday. The pain is sharp enough that I cannot sleep.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Most common causes for such type of pain are:
-peripheral vascular disease
-Deep vein thrombosis
-Sprain and strains

Suggest you to take tablet acetaminophen and elevate the leg with support. Give some rest to it rather walking around. If it still persists you need to consult your treating doctor for further investigations and treatment.

Hope this answers your query.

Regards,
Dr.Alekhya.
