My pain started about a month ago as upper right shoulder blade pain. It progressed to radiating arm pain, tricep and forearm and also have low range of movement in neck- looking over shoulder. No neck pain or weakness reported yet. No tingling or numbness.I attached my MRI results.Does surgery look like it s in my future or can I heal this?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe shoulder blade pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like arthritis, osteoarthritis , bursitis , tendinitis , torn cartilage , pinched nerves , repetitive use or overuse injury . If condition doesn't get well then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order test like CT scan , MRI or physical examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and recommend physical therapy and stretching exercises specially trapezius muscle stretching . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses to back and shoulder , do not work in on pose for long time , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain,
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
