Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it seems to be an acute episode of allergic rhinitis. Antibiotics may not be needed at this moment as it can be complicated by viral causes more often than bacterial.

Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with antihistamines like cetirizine or loratadine may be helpful for symptomatic relief.

Nasal decongestant, as well as steam inhalations, should be used along. Hot beverages can help with the symptoms too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
