Suggest Treatment For Severe Sore Throat And A Lump Like Sensation
Last week I had a very sore throat, this week the sore throat has gone but I m left with a lump feeling in my throat on the left hand side. I m getting sharp stabbing pain in my throat then a dull aching pain just above my collar bone and behind my shoulder blade. What could this be ? Any answers would be great
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe sore throat and a lump like sensation which could be due to viral or bacterial infection, acid reflux or peptic ulcer disease. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take antacid medicines like ranitidine or pantoprazole. Avoid intake of oily, fried and spicy food. Drink plenty of water. You should not lay down immediately after having food. Avoid intake of large food at a time. You should take small meals and frequent meals. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper examination. You should have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. You should take proton pump inhibitors such as ondansetron.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
