Suggest Treatment For Severe Sore Throat, Nausea And Vomiting
I started with a terrible sore throat, mainly at the back of my throat yesterday and then had vomiting 4 or 5 times through the day. The nausea is gone, but sore throat persists and I have no energy. Could this be strep, and if so, what do you recommend? Thank you,
Sore throat is due to burning of pharyngeal mucosa by acid reflux. Advice 1. Levocetirizine 5 mg daily per oral for 7 days 2. Azithromycin 500 mg daily per oral for 5 days 3. Omeprazole 20 mg orally in empty stomach for 10 days 4. Do gargle with slight warm salt water four times daily 5. Do not eat heavily at a time. Eat smaller meals 6. Do not lie down immediately after meal 7. Avoid dust, smoking, alcohol, dry environment, cold and spicy food 8. Avoid coffee and tea after meal 9. Consult an ENT specialist for general examination of your nasal passage Thanks
