Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sore throat with irritation on palate and mouth might be related to upper respiratory infection or inflammation. Amoxyclav may cause stomach upset like nausea, vomiting and gastritis. Since you have already started on Amoxyclav, continue with it.

Take the complete course for 5 days. You can take pantoprazole or ranitidine with antacids. In addition to that, I would advise you to do warm saline gargling, have lots of water and maintain good hydration. You can take levocetirizine or fexofenadine for sneezing.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask for follow up question, I will happily answer you.

Wishing you good health.

Regards,
Dr. B R Hudda
