Suggest Treatment For Severe Stabbing Pain In The Left Shin

Qui I am an elderly man . The front of my lower left shin has severe stabbing pain that goes away quickly, only to return in a few minutes later. THese bouts occur 2or 3 times per year and seldom last more than day. I don t think I have shin splints because these pains are nerve pains.

Hello

Thank you for posting at HCM.

As you said you are an elderly , and pain is stabbing kind, it's probably a neuralgia.
In such cases we advise our patients to go for a nerve conduction tests, a psychiatric evaluation as in certain cases, pain lasts long and to take Tab Neurobion Forte 1-0-0 x 15 days, Tab Shelcal 500 1-0-0 x 15 days, Tab Nutrivox 1-0-1 x 7 days, and periodic review thereafter. For immediate relief it's advisable to take Tab Tramadol 50mg+ Paracetamol 250mg SOS. Make sure to not be too dependent on SOS drug.

Thanks
