Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

Frankly, I need more details of the condition-
Is the pain more after eating food?
Is the pain relieved by eating food?
Any vomiting?
Any nausea?
Any fever?
Any palpitations?
Any breathlessness?
Any urine problem?
Any stool problem?

As of now, I can think of 2 possibilities from the given information. 1 you have mentioned in the query- acidity or gastritis. This is usually not visualized on an ultrasound. I will actually suggest testing an endoscopy, if at all that is possible.
Alternatively, you can try to take proton pump inhibitors, like esomeprazole 40 mg twice a day to start with. The dose can later be reduced to once daily.

The second possibility is a pancreatitis. Usually it is acute, but chronic pancreatitis has been known. Still over 7 years, very few patients will manage to bear that much problem without meeting a gastroenterologist.
Doing an amylase and lipase blood test will be a good idea.

Gall stones may have been ruled out by the ultrasound already.
Still doing an MRI of the abdomen may give us more details,

Meeting a gastroenterologist may help.

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
(If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
Best of luck.
