Suggest Treatment For Severe Tail Bone Pain

I feel about a month ago and hit my tail bone..in return it caused it to bleed. Since then that area has been raw and then it also has caused the upper area above my tail bone to crack and it bleeds and itchy. I have used Neosporne, Baby Powder, AD ointment and medicated powder to try to get it to heal. So far no luck can you tell me if there is anything over the counter I can use?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for asking a question at HCM

I will be glad to answer it for you

It seems your infection has spread. You need to get treated by a course of oral antibiotics. Then topic antibiotic cream like neosporin or silver sulfadiazine.

Don't delay to meet a doctor, as he can take a look at the wound and can prescribe you antibiotics. Otherwise, the infection can spread to entire body

Hope this helps

Best Regards

Dr Chaithanya
