Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
ive been taking for an infectiona medication called indomethacin 25mg for a thumb infection. and befor that I was taking another medication called clindamycin any way I asked the doctor to prescribe a pill to prevent yeast infection.anyway its been afew days since I took it. but I had a small amount of bloody discharge is that normal?
Indomethacin is not an antibiotic so it will not fight infection, it is an anti-inflammatory drug and will help with pain and swelling. If you are not improving you will need the doctor to examine your finger again because another antibiotic might be needed to treat the infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
