Hi,

Many a times if the tooth infection is severe it can cause fever, however at times it can be coincidental. But in your case fever seems to be due to tooth infection only. As the tooth pain has subsided you need not to worry as the fever will also gradually subside as the infection reduces. But as the pain is relieved with medicine, it can be a temporary relief and if the tooth is not treated for the cause of pain then with taking only antibiotics and painkillers, the infection can flare up anytime causing pain and even swelling

My suggestion is to take the medicines for a total of 3 days (considering 1st day on Day 1 of taking medicine) and then get back to your dentist. In case if there is deep decay in the tooth that is causing pain then in case if tooth can be saved then get the tooth treated with Root Canal treatment. If the prognosis of tooth seems poor to dentist then getting tooth removed followed by an artificial tooth can be an option. Hence, get an X-ray done and proceed for the treatment for complete relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
