Suggest Treatment For Severe Upper Abdominal Pain

I am waiting for a liver specialist. Had severe upper abdominal pain with terrible pain across the upper back. Thought it was gall stones. Went into emergency Monday night. Took blood tests and ultra sound. Said no problem with the gall bladder. Bilirubin s are higher than normal so want me to check out liver. I checked out some natural teas that are good for liver vitality and cleanse. Do you have any other suggestions while I wait for the specialist? I have pain in the upper and middle stomach. Continues to persist, but not as severe. I was given percocet for pain, but just using Motrin.

Hi,

I don't recommend that you drink natural teas or cleanse teas for now. Sometimes they can exacerbate the issue depending on the ingredients even if they are marketed as for the liver. Until the specialist appointment I recommend that you continue with pain medications given to you. I recommend you to drink enough water too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
