General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If you improved once with treatment, one course may be repeated however it's preferable to diagnose exact infection.

It can be done with a gynecologist review and per vaginal examination as well as cultures and sensitivity tests on high vaginal swabs taken during examination.

Antibiotics should be based on that and will cause long term resolution. Otherwise, recurrence is a possibility. Keeping it dry, avoiding OTC vaginal washes, and keeping good hygiene may help. Use pass instead of tampons if having periods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
