Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an eight year old grandson with vomiting anywhere from 8-20 times a day. Just had an upper and lower gi that game back normal from Vanderbilt hospital. He has been throwing up for about five weeks. He has an allergy doctor also. His blood work was ran in January. He is allergic to peanut and shellfish. He also has Autism and Sensory Spectrum disorder. Any thoughts.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the history of vomiting with the frequency of 8 to 20 times in day then it is medical emergency and may need parenteral therapy of antiemetic medicine may need I/V fluid for electrolyte imbalance because such severe vomiting could cause electrolyte imbalance, it is medical emergency, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
