Suggest Treatment For Severe Vomiting While On Zeptol
Hello sir. My brother is Suffering from epilepsy problem and he is taking Zeptol cr 300 since he was 10 and now he is 24 years old. At this time he is suffering from too much vomitings and too much acid is formed in his stomach. Is there any substitute of this medicine or any precautions that he should take.please reply me sir
Based on the history you have shared, it's less likely to be the drug as he is already using it since long and such unwanted side effects usually occur with first few days of doses. Other causes like stomach lining inflammation or gastritis or any other local cause should also be ruled out. Using antacids like Omperazole before meals and motility agents like Itopride may be helpful.
If vomiting persist Dimenhydrinate or Domperidone may be given. Raised intracranial pressure or brain causes may be ruled out on brain imaging like CT scan or MRI.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.
