Suggest Treatment For Severe Weakness And Constipation After Surgery

I am 46yr old woman I had my kidney stone surgery Nov.2nd a stint was put in I was in er 3days later with infections and sent home with meds. The next Saturday I was back at er hadn t had a bowel movement in 11days was admit for that and more infections. Was there 3days now home. Bowels are moving very slow just a little back ground. My question is...i, be been feeling very very weak I m drinking a lot of fluids trying to keep food down but not staying down much and I don t know what I need to take or do I m weak and dizzy.

Hi,

It seems the antibiotics given &the infection itself has affected your digestion leading to the destruction of normal intestinal flora & hampering digestion./possibility of intestinal infections also rise in such condition.

So you need to get stools tested for finding possible infecting organism.&your management would be-

- treatment of intestinal infection
-Use of stool softeners like cremaffine as per need.sj
-eating fibres (veges -salads-fruits. with skins OR taking Ispaghula at night with water).

Drink ample of warm water

-lactobacilli supplements.
- The specific medicines &dosage to be advised by your treating doctor.
