Suggest Treatment For Severely Bruised Foot After Injury

I dropped a very heavy paper roll on my foot 4 weeks ago. It was severely bruised and I can only wear the flip flops that I had on that day. If anything touches the top of my foot it is very painful. It doesn t hurt to walk on it, as long as nothing hits the top of my foot. I usually am in pain in the evenings. Tonight I tried to put some socks on and after 20 minutes my foot really hurt. Not sure if I should have it looked at. Everyone says if I can walk on it then there is nothing one can do.

Hi and welcome to HCM,
From the history and the description of the injury, it looks like there is a contusion on your foot. You can try to get some anti inflammatory tablets, like T. Voltaren 50 mg twice daily after meals, along with some topical anti inflammatory ointment, for local application. To be on the safe side, also get an Xray done.
All the best to you !!!
