Suggest Treatment For Severely Painful Bruised Ribs And Torn Muscles After Injury
My dad fell off of a ladder at work today they took scares and said he just has bruised ribs and torn muscles , he is a pretty tough guy . Cut his finger off a while back and didn t even flinch. He is having unbearable pain on his le side. I am concerned about his spleen. Are bruised ribs usually this painful?

Yes bruised rib can present with such severe pain. But i hope xray has already been done by the physician if you have consulted one. Spleen can be considered in danger if three lower most ribs are involved. See any discolouration on patient's belly and contact me again with xray report. Best treatment for such muscular pain is combination of paracrtamol and orphenadrine tablets twice daily.Have a nice day.
