Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had Pnuemonia about a month ago and I know it takes awhile to completely get over it and get your strengh back. Anyway, When I am attempting a task I find my legs shakey and my hands too. When I am sitting still I do not have the shaking. I am a little concerned--- is this a normal side affect of Pnuemonia???
If the infection was severe and affected your appetite to the point where you had reduced fluid intake or weight loss then it is possible that the symptoms are related to your bout with pneumonia.
If this is not the case, then it would be best to be seen and assessed to find the cause of the symptoms.
This would require a physical examination and may require blood works such as complete blood count and electrolytes (sodium, calcium, potassium and magnesium).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
General & Family Physician
