Suggest Treatment For Sharp Abdominal Pain

hi, On Monday night my husband woke up with bad stomach pains, kept stating he felt as though he wanted to pass gas but was unable to. He says the pain is primarily on the right side that it will be very sharp then dull. He went to work yesterday came home and slept. I woke up to him vomiting everywhere around 11pm lasted until around 4 this morning. He is home asleep. I am currently at work awaiting a call from his doctor. Should i just take him into the emergency room. He is someone who never misses work and never complains of pain.

Yes, you should should definitely take him to the hospital without wasting much time.
Sudden abdominal pain, vomiting, sleepiness, weakness etc are suggestive of abdominal pathology like peptic perforation, acute gastritis, cholecystitis etc.
So better to take him to the emergency room and get done clinical examination of abdomen and ultrasound examination of abdomen to diagnose the cause.
He will need intravenous fluids, intravenous antibiotics, antacid and anti emetic drugs.
Don't worry, he will be alright.
First diagnose the cause and then start appropriate treatment.
