Suggest Treatment For Sharp And Intermittent Leg Pain
I am having pain in my right from thigh since I started taking PT for problems with my left leg with pain from the pirifomis muscle My history is a back fusion S-1-L5. But my right leg has never been a problem I think the P Therapist, who really is great, and he says is possible that the therapy injured my L4 and it will go away with therapy. However, the therapy has made my pain unbearable and I could barely walk. I have not been to therapy for 4 days and it is better, except if I sit too long the sharp pain returns to my leg and leaves when I walk or stand awhile. My Mother and her siblings suffered from artery disease with amputated legs. Can you give me suggestions as to possible cause and should I see a vascular specialist? thank you
Hi Physiotherapy works miracles, but only when no active disease is present. If it s because of the thrombus or coagulation defect, physiotherapy can make it worse. I would suggest to rule out vascular causes by getting examined by a vascular surgeon and then if it turns out to be negative, carry on with your physiotherapist. Hope u feel better.
