Suggest Treatment For Sharp Lower Leg Pain And Bruises On The Foot

Hi I keep getting a sharp pin like pain on the back of my left lower leg just between my calf and ankle,I ve had it for about a week now,I thought it was because I d bruised my foot slightly because when I scratch my foot last night just above the little toe it triggered the pain but today I cleaned my ear with a cotton bud and that triggered the same shooting pain and the same again when I scratched the back of my head.ive been to see the doctor but he just said if it don t go in 3 weeks come back.any ideas of what this could be ?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sharp lower leg pain and bruises on the foot . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query sciatic nerve compression , nerve compression or injury due to your condition or peripheral or diabetic neuropathy . I would suggest you to consult your orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe physical therapy along with nerve supplement like neurobion forte . Doctor may consider surgery in severe cases . For now do gentle massage , eat healthy and take proper rest . Also apply warm compresses to back . Doctor may also refer you to endocrinologist for diabetic foot .
