Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain And Stiffness Of The Lower Back
Pulled something in my lower back just bending foreward to pick up a screw, a week ago. Still have sharp pain and stiffness on my lower right sise of my back. Have done this before, but the psin has never lasted this long. I am a male, 67 years old. Hate going to the doctors office. Help YYYY@YYYY . Thanks !!
It's very common to have a muscle pulled while working. Whenever a patient comes to me with similar complains and history of pulled muscle first thing I suggest to him is to take adequate rest and let your body heal as it takes time. Do not resume the work until you get better.
Some muscle relaxants like Zerodol-MR help efficiently if taken with doctor’s advice. Local application of pain killer ointments also provide some relief. If the pain lasts for more than a week even after taking medicines, I suggest you see a doctor and with his advice take the further treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar,
