Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In The Lower Back And Right Hip

Hi I have sharp pain in my lower back and right hip and have had it for a year and a half and have went to countless doctors and all couldn t find anything wrong but yesterday I lost all feeling in my right leg and foot so I went to the emergency room and they stuck my legs with needles a couple of times and found that my legs was completely unresponsive but they could not find a cause. I was woundering what my symptoms could possibly be.

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you need to have a detailed neurological examination and MRI Spine as well as brain to look for any signs of MS or any other demyelinating disorder or cord compression.

Nerve conduction studies may be needed too. Neurologist review to look for whether the weakness is of lower motor neuron type or of upper motor neuron type based on motor examination of lower limbs. Treatment will be based on the cause.
