Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In The Middle Of My Back

I have a sharp pain in the middle of my back. It started 3 nights ago when I laid on my left side. Last night it would not stop when I got up. I had no problem during the day on Tuesday thru sThursday. But today it is still there. I am diabetic, but have lost 120 ponds in the last year

Hi, central back pain can be related to many causes. Important with medical history of diabetes is to rule out ischemic insult to the heart which can manifest as a back pain. Please refer to your ER and get an EEG. Other less threatening reason can be GERD disease (acidic reflux). Once you get your EEG and if nothing related to heart can be found, the doctor can prescribe a medication for GERD disease.
