Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath And Sleep Apnea

Hi I recently had an echocardiogram I saw that my right ventricle is dilated to 4.9 cm. I experienced recently the very short of breath when laying down where I have to sit up to catch my breath when I m awake. I also have sleep apnea. The emergency room said I passed my stress test. I still think something serious is wrong. All my blood work was normal they said. Help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As you described you ventricle dilated, it reduces cardiac output and pumping capacity of your heart.

It's better to consult another cardiologist and he will prescribe some medication for your problem. it's not a simple problem so as early as possible consult cardiologist.

And it's the reason for a short breath.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
