Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath, Heart Palpitations And Ringing Sound In Ears

Hi! I am a 42 yrs. old female ( 5ft 5inc and weigh around 186 pounds) and for about a week now iv e been experiencing shortness of breath, heart palpitations ( even when eating and swallowing my food) and my heartbeat pounds in my ears. A few months ago i had allergy induced vertigo and my doctor prescribed a motion sickness relief (meclizine) & i took some claritin D. - It worked! Now I just have the above symptoms without vertigo. Hi,

Without having a direct interaction with you, as per your age [42] and sex [female], it could be Pre-menopausal symptoms, but to manage on the same, you should first get an opinion of a Medicine Specialist for Panic attacks [anxiety], rhythm disorder, diabetes, thyroid problem, and might order relevant examinations like Chest X-ray, EKG, Complete blood count, thyroid and blood sugar test.

Avoid excess of tea and coffee. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Avoid mental strain. Treatment will depend upon the cause: i.e. medicine will vary from mild tranquilizers to system specific. Recurrent episodes of vertigo, with tinnitus with normal between the attacks: one should suspect Meniere's disease: ask for ENT check up [second opinion].

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
