Suggest Treatment For Shoulder Pain And Tingling Sensation In The Arm

Hi i have been having shoulder pain since 2013 that leads to numbness and tingling in my whole right arm along with swelling on my right upper body level from my fingertips to my lower back on the right side. i have seen multiple doctors about it and they say it could be nerve damage but no one has done any actual test to see what is going on. What should i do? How can i get rid of the pain and discomfort without having to continue the muscle relaxers and pain relievers.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The shoulder pain and tingling sensation in the arm is definitely due to underlying nerve compression of brachial plexus segment or cervical spinal cord. An MRI of the concerned region, is best way to evaluate the underlying cause with most accuracy and you should discuss the need of the same with your treating doc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
