Suggest Treatment For Shoulder Pain That Radiates To The Shoulder Blades

Two morning s ago I woke up to my right shoulder aching as the day went on I noticed I couldn t pick up anything even my purse with my right arm without it giving a sharp pain. Yesterday. Went to my primary dr n he prescribed ketorolac n sent me to an orthopedic dr today all he did was pushe in the joint area of my shoulder n moved my arm up and down. When he saw how badly it hurt me he said I can give you a shot or we can just wait n see if the swelling will go down w the anti inflammatory Medes. The pain sometimes radiates to my shoulder blade well he did give me a sling to wear but little else to go on. What could be causing this I have had no trauma to this area to my knowledge I haven t strained or hurt it. Please give me some kind of answers.

Hi,
Welcome To Healthcare Magic.

I had gone through your query and understand it completely.

After consultation & treatment of primary and orthopedic doctor and wearing a sling, you are not feeling better. If I would be your treating doctor, I would definitely suggest you for Cervical X-Ray-(AP & Lat.). If X-Ray report will be normal, then go for MRI-Spine. Share both reports on healthcare magic for proper diagnosis and even better treatment.

Till that time, you can take pain relieving medicines for temporary relief like Tab.-Ibuprofen (if no allergy), 600 mg, 3 times in a day at the interval of 7 to 8 hours for a day or two. Apply Voveran Gel (if no allergy) on the affected area. Just simply apply it 3 to 4 times in a day. Apply ice on affected area.

After doing all these, I hope you will get well sooner and further queries are always welcome. I will like to answer them.

Wish you good health.
Take Care, Thank You.
