General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Cerebellar degeneration or cerebellar shrinking refers to the deterioration of neurons in the cerebellum.

There is currently no cure for hereditary forms of cerebellar degeneration. In these cases, treatment is usually supportive and based on the signs and symptoms present in each person.

In acquired forms of cerebellar degeneration, some signs and symptoms may be reversible with treatment of the underlying cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
