Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Zyrtec
I m having reactions to Zertex generic walmart brand severe sore throat,red spots on side of toung, red and white spot in tonsils area (had tonsils out 60 years ago) Rash upper chest.strangling feeling in throat I took 1/2 of a10mg tablet yesterday ,Made my nose run all day yesterday water eyes sneezing same thing today. How do I get med. out of my system? Thank you A senior citizen

It takes nearly 10 to 19 hours in the elderly to completely eliminate the drug from the body, which is higher than the average 10 hours in adults.
The drug is excreted in urine and stool over 24 hours after consumption. If the symptoms of allergy persist for more than 48 hours or symptoms worsen like swelling of lips, tongue, breathing difficulty go to the ER.
In addition to that, Zyrtec does not do much for sore throat. Instead, you can follow simple measures like salt water gargle, or Betadine gargle for relief. If sore throat does not improve over 3 to 4 days or is associated with fever, you may even need antibiotic prescription.
