My 24 year old daughter has been having problems with being dizzy. It s been going on quite consistently now for 1 month. As a teenager she has experienced vertigo twice. Through medication and exercises has been able to control it and has not experienced it since (that we know of) In January was when she had her first experience of being dizzy. It was right after she played volleyball at her Aunt s shop which is extremely dusty. The dizziness lasted a little over a week. She did go see a PA and was given some medicine(Meclazine sp?) to use in case she experienced it again. I feel they were leaning towards some type of vertigo. My daughter has said its not the same thing this time. About 1 month ago same thing has happened after the same activity. So then we were thinking it s the dust and switched her from Zyrtec to Claritin. She has not played volleyball since, has been to the chiropractor and has had her neck adjusted as well as lower back. She has been to the chiropractor 8 times since the beginning of 2015. She has been back to the Dr 3 times. Was given a z pack for sinus infections etc. I know they had mentioned inner ear issues that the z pack should help and the dizziness should go away. Last Thursday that Dr finally did blood work and needed to change her thyroid meds as the mg wasn t high enough, her thyroid is inactive from what it should be. The chiropractor has her using cervical pillows and wants her to stand or sit certain ways to not strain the neck which he feels is causing the issue. Her Dr s are pretty much guessing at this point. We don t know if she should see a specialist, if its something neurological. It s not non stop dizzy , at times it can be just when she looks to the left, thats the minimal amount. Some days she needs to lay down all day, more severe. Should we let the new thyroid meds kick in first to see if that helps? The medical DR said maybe she needs to have her eyes checked, but she has just had that done at Thanksgiving time. Her blood pressure is fine. Can you please offer any thoughts , ideas or where should we go from here? Thank you so much for any input you can give. We are getting quite frustrated
