Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection

5 weeks ago I had a sinus infection which required 10 days of antibiotics. I improved only getting rid of the mucus in my nasal area, but still have a severe soar throat & neck glands with swelling, inner ear pain, extreme difficulty swallowing, on & off fever, and severe pain in my center chest when coughing, sneezing, bending, laying down, etc. My family Doctor told me to wait it out, but the pain is incredible. What should I do ?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sinus infection means you are suffering from condition known as chronic sinusitis. I would suggest you to take nasal decongestant sprays, Antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present. You should take plenty of liquids. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Co amoxiclav is best treatment option. You should take steam inhalation. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Go for para nasal sinus X ray and get puncture and drainage of sinus if required. You can go for surgical reconstruction of opening after proper prescription. Do warm saline gargles.
