Recently dx with allergies to pets. Symptoms range from sinus issues, hives, skin irratations, and now respitory distress. Allergist states he does not believe it is asthma. Primary Dr states it is ashtma related to allergies. I have had 3 dose of prednisone,3 weeks of antibotics, priolsec, allegra, zantac x 2 day, atarax x 3 day, zyrtec, singular, nebulizar albuterol, inhaler albuterol, advair, flovent, and flonase nasal spray. I have tracked possible triggers and the one that is consistent is exposure to outside dust/sand/pollen. I have explained this to my doctors but they do not seem to acknowledge the environmental issues. YET... I continue to struggle with breathing issues that include SOB, losing voice, dry cough, fatigue, and hives when ever I go outside OR exposed to open door/ windows. I feel like there is fluid on one side of my lungs but the PA stated he does not hear any fluid in that area. When experiencing issues my chest burns, feels like I am breathing cold air, dry unproductive cough, sob. Yet the treatments (nebulizer/ inhalers) barely ease the symptoms. Drs say to go to ER if unable to breathe but when some of the symptoms occur... I struggle to determine the severity of my symptoms until it is too late ( confused and pass out). I am on a waiting list to see a pulmonary specialist but don t know for how long. Symptoms have become chronic enough that I can t leave my home without having an eposide. I even have to wear a medical mask anytime exposed to elements. (Still have issues...just not as bad.) Any idea or suggestions to encourage providers to look into?
