Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my son is 40 years old and has now been diagnosed with sinus tacycardia. thyroid tests were normal he is a little overweight by about 40 lbs and otherwise and walks 3 1/2 miles daily his MD has him wearing a halter monitor for the next 2 weeks and he will be having a stress test to be scheduled also. should he be seeing a cardiologist MD to handle all of this i don t think he should be playing with his health
There are many drugs that can be used in patients with sinus tachycardia. On the other hand, it is best to wait for the results of the Holter monitor and the stress test. The results of these tests will further determine which is would be the best management for your son.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
