Suggest Treatment For Skin Discoloration On Earlobe

I have a question. I have a skin discolouration on my ear lobe caused by earrings. I did my research it was called Post inflammatory hyper pigmentation it stated that it will take a long process time up to 6 months for me to get my natural skin colour back. Is that true or any other alternative for treatments?

Your skin discoloration over the earlobes might be from contact dermatitis due to the metal used in earrings. You should stop using those earrings. It may take 6-12 months time to reach your normal color after stop using those metal based earrings.

I advise you to use sunscreen lotion on that location while going in day light so as to prevent further darkening of skin.

There are treatments available to bleach the skin like hydroquinone ointment and steroid ointments for faster healing, but i advise not to use them without consulting doctor.
