Suggest Treatment For Skin Rashes On Face, Chest And Arms

I have red skin rash on my face, back, chest and arms. I have seen doctors of dermatology and rheumatology. The doctors are members of the staff at Henry Ford Hospitable in Detroit. At the beginning they thought I had lupus. My last appointment with rheumatology I was told that I did not have lupus and to work with dermatology. I found an article on WebDr that addressed erythrodermic psoriasis and I do have some of the symptoms - red face that feels hot, rash on chest and back and on the inside of arms, and have severe itching. Is there any type of test for eryhrodermic psoriasis?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As your rheumatologist has ruled out lupus and other autoimmune itiologies regarding your symptoms, it’s better to seek help from a dermatologist. A dermatologist will be able to guide you better after careful examination of the rash with diagnostic tests if needed. Depending on the results he will prescribe you appropriate medicines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
