Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My two year old daughter has a skin tear on her second toe that she keeps re-injury. I have been using neosporin & not wrapping it up so that it can breathe. When she allows me I clean it with peroxide & water then apply the neosporin. I can not get it to heal. What else should I do?
You can continue daily dressing with neopsporin. If there is any signs of infection, antibiotics must be started. Nothing much to worry and the wound will heal by itself.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
