Hi 65 yo women with left supreclavicular node noted by my sleep apnea specialist ENT 4 mo ago and again by his partner last week. PCP ordered Chest X-ray and blood work unremarkable. Parents died of colon and throats cancers, grandparents (3) died of colon cancer, one ovarian cancer all 6 relatives in their 50 s and 60 s. I get regular colonoscopies, GYN yearly. Shouldn t I get needle biopsy of this suspicious node? What is appropriate work up for left supraclavicular node? What kind of Dr best to do this biopsy?
Only one supreclavicular lymph nodes may not address a malignancy and do not need biopsy but you should have a thorax Ct and checked by thorax surgeon if need additional investigation
