I have a terrible time sleeping. I fall asleep initially for about a half hour. Then I wake up totally miserable. I found that if I lift my 20 pound dumbells I can tire myself out for a little while but in a short time I have to do it again. This goes on most of the night. When it s getting near time to wake up I seem to be able to sleep a little better.
Hello Welcome to HCM. I can understand your concerns. I have few suggestions for you which will help you to restore your normal sleep: 1. Avoid napping during the day. 2. Avoid stimulants such as caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol too close to bedtime. 3. Vigorous exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon and not at bedtime. 4. A relaxing exercise, like yoga, can be done before bed to help initiate a restful night's sleep. 5. Establish a regular relaxing bedtime routine. Try to avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. 6. Associate your bed with sleep. Donot keep lying idly on bed.
Hope this helps Thanks.
