Suggest Treatment For Sleep Disorder

i have a very hard time getting to sleep . i take 10 mg of ambien and it s doesn t do the job . i ve had four lower lumbar surgeries , complete reconstructive elbow surgery , reconstructive right knee surgery , ihave to deal with a lot of pain . i want something that is going to put me to sleep and let me sleep for at least 3 or 4 hours straight . it s been since i had my neck fused , under what ever med they gave me , that i ve had a decent nights sleep .

I can understand your concerns.

First, i would suggest you to practice relaxation exercises like slow and deep breathing and meditation. This will help to reduce oxidative stress to body.

Drink a glass of warm milk and take warm water bath before going to sleep.

Avoid tea coffee alcohol at bedtime.

Keep your pain under control with your medicines.

If ambien is not helping, drugs like ativan and klonopin will help. But these are prescription drugs. Consult a psychiatrist.
