Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. She is 74 years old and her symptoms like forgetfulness, difficulty in making judgements and conclusions, intolerance to voices, excessive sleepiness cant be ignored. Such symptoms could occur possibly due to some cognitive decline like Dementia. In dementia individuals start showing benign forgetfulness, difficulty in making conclusions etc symptoms. I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist for her expert evaluation and treatment. Medicines like Donepezil, Rivastigmine etc are commonly used to slow down progression of cognitive decline. Try to talk to her regularly and ask her to play brain stimulation games like Sudoku, Crossword etc. This will help to improve her symptoms. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription.
Thanks, hope this helps you. Take care
